Instant Live has tied up an agreement with Sony Classical to support classical
music performances. Their latest on-tour artist is
Yo Yo Ma. The great and world-famous cellist is completing the Silk Road project, where musicians from all over the world can participate and bring in their own musical ideas courtesy of one brand label, Sony Classical.
If you love Yo Yo Ma, you'd appreciate Live Nation's move to team up with Sony Classical. We haven't seen so much interest in classical music before. We've been drawn to The Crouching Tiger,
Hidden Dragon soundtracks and the Memoirs of a Geisha too, and Yo Yo Ma is one of the musicians that recorded cello-accompanied songs in these movies. Yo Yo Ma is truly eclectic, and because of this Sony has given us more opportunity to enjoy the sound of his magical cello.
Sony Classical's support for classical musicians like Yo Yo Ma is bringing to light other musicians' who are out there struggling to be appreciated by fans worldwide. Reportedly, they will offer CDs six minutes before the show ends. This could mean further boost in the artists' sales, apart from the considerable help of touring and advertising.
